Trading My Sorrows has been around at camp as long as we can remember. Our current staff dates back to 2007 in staff experience and we know it has been sung since then. This is a fun upbeat silly song with a message. Even our youngest campers get involved with this one. The actions are simple and ring home to our kiddos and staff each time we sing it! I'm trading my sorrows (crying face) Many of our campers get sad and homesick. This part of the song speaks to them. This also speaks deeper for anyone going through something. I'm trading my shame (turn head away) At camp we focus a lot on welcoming everyone, and making sure that no matter where you come from or what life experiences you have God wants you here and as part of His family.
